I read Tim Cavanaugh’s article [see URL ref] very carefully, because I don’t like being lied to…yet it seems everybody does it, yet Nobody is a Liar…and it just keeps happening. Practically, this seems an essential problem for me, for how can I trust anyone, or figure out what is going on…if i cannot tell who’s lying and who’s not? That’s one “troubling” question about LYING!

The reader may want to read Tim’s article, then put it next to this one to compare…or not.

What is a “lie”? In discussing “lie” Wikipedia [see URL ref] includes the concepts of “deception”, “intent”, “honesty”, “accuracy”, and “truth”. The rational relationship of the lie is an intent by the liar to deceive another, using any form or means…even ‘the truth’. Past this inclusive basic description, in today’s America a lie appears open to any person’s interpretation or feeling about who’s doing what to whom, how, why.

Lying under Oath is legally termed “perjury”. However, many people have been found to lie under oath…yet the consequences are as diverse as the lies. So I’m just more confused. But, here is a parting irony. Upon taking the stand, a witness must swear an oath to “tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth, so help me God.” Some people don’t want to swear to God, some don’t want to include that God phrase in their oath. Now as the popular saying goes, “I’m only human”; so, apart from perfect God helping me…there’s no way I can fufill that oath…or even tell how far off I am. So I sure Hope I never get called as a witness…before the Change to an oath I CAN do. My suggestion: “I swear to feel right in my own mind about saying whatever but meaning whatever, whenever, however…honest.”

The concept of “honesty” is equally troubling. This is kinda related somehow to the arcane and out-of-touch concept of right and wrong. And that came from the evil concept of morals, where bad people profiled nice people as wrong and oppressed them. And morals came from this thing man invented called God, who was invariably on ‘my side’ when you were wrong. [Which is how 'two wrongs make a rite', but that's another story.] Fortunately, right people progressed and separated God [aka "church" et seq] from our Nation just as surely as President Obama separated all Americans from their Hope and Change. The point is this: legally, it used to be that if experts said a person could not tell right from wrong, he was a “sociopath”, and not responsible for his behavior, therefore legally not accountable for his behavior…therefore if he did something the State didn’t like and they prosecuted him for it, they sent him to a Mental Institution instead of prison. There, they gave him “therapy” so he could learn right from wrong, so he could tell the difference, and when enough experts said he could, he was ‘released into society’. We all know that, if you know right from wrong, you won’t do anything wrong, so you are “safe”.

Now, having got rid of “honesty” by getting rid of God, right and wrong, morals, and the quaint avoiding but having morals term called ‘ethics’…legally, we’re all sociopaths. So, we can feel and do…whatever…unsafely. But, everybody does it, so we get to just move on, because time will tell.

Now with our Great Society freed from the oppression of morals and ethics, let us not confuse this with our free speech to say whatever …and have it mean whatever, whenever. So, we’re all free to do what you see daily: tell he/they/him/them “you are lying!”

Having an inspirational flash feeling…I now ‘get it’ why We Need Universal Health Care and must do anything we’re told to get it by any means! ALL appropriate people NEED THERAPY in a mental institution! The Laws say so…and just saying, “we are a Nation of Laws”!

But, since Nobody Nose what the law words mean [since they mean whatever anyone feels], and no American has Hope and Change except One…it’s equally obvious we all need however many Czars and organizings we’re Told! Meanwhile, I must always Celebrate Diversity, Respecting All Lifestyles and Cultures [CD RALAC] because well, heck, i can’t discriminate between anything anyway!

And that’s no lie! And if you don’t feel that way and feel and do as you’re told…you are a liar and should goto an affordable jail. I’m celebrating on my appropriate mental institution waiting list, only being frightened and outraged and misinformed when I’m told to.
