A long time ago, Apology,
was a Greek way of explainin’.
Nowadays an Apology,
is all about Just Sayin’.

If you lie under oath -
give a “full and complete” apology.
If you keep betraying your spouse,
just say you “can’t just say ‘apology’”

If you defrauded millions of billions,
just give them “a special apology”.
If you send out high officials to spread your pretense,
just humbly promise “a full and vigorous defense”.

But if you just want to image or market,
absolutely no apology is needed;
for any amount of misleading,
entertaining deception is fairly exceeded!

Like hiring a Dream Team for our favorite sport:
to parade how Officers of the Court, con…tort.
Just turn lives into an Adversarial Spectacle,
to make “our justice”… truly… “exceptional”.

Oh please just give us another apology.
Save all those just sayin’s from further tautology!
Like Totally, Honestly, Actually, Really
…so “THAR she blows” next, whatever whale is…be.

So from the tiniest acorn can grow,
a whole tree of leafy new labels, to truly know,
that from yesterday’s lone Apology, today does blow,
the seeds of Apology into Windfalls of Gimme Mo’.

Yes, since lying no longer “rises to the level”,
some words unspecial people just can bedevil!
You’re attacked, fired, fined…while special people revel -
in the same words that from you…demonize you a devil.

Yes such is the neverending Progress of Man
who Evolves higher and higher in a Random Plan -
always getting better with more reps and experience…
of lying and cheating and deceiving …existence.

Now that smarter people know there is no God,
there is no Higher Authority for right and wrong.
So we’re Cured at last Of the Old Tired honestlies -
now we Hope and Change, by self-serving… apologies.
